every so often they are spot on...
Donielle,
Females in your immediate environment appear to thwart, interfere,
demand, or simply be unreasonably uncooperative toward you. Other
people's idiosyncrasies, personalities, prejudices, or subjective
judgments grate against you at this time also, especially when they
clash with your own.
There is a dangerous virus being passed around electronically, orally,
and by hand.
This virus is called Worm-Overload-Recreational-Killer (WORK).
If you receive WORK from any of your colleagues, your boss, or anyone else
via any means DO NOT TOUCH IT! This virus will wipe out your private
life completely.
If you should come into contact with WORK put your jacket on and take two
good friends to the nearest grocery store. Purchase the antidote known
as Work-Isolating-Neutralizer-Extract (WINE) or Bothersome-Employer-Elimination-Rebooter
(BEER).
Take the antidote...Repeatedly...until WORK has been completely eliminated
from your system.
You should forward this warning to 5 friends. If you do not have 5 friends,
you have already been infected and WORK is controlling your life.
i don't consider myself as a buddhist, but i do occasionally go to buddhist teachings and read up on it. i respect buddhism, i agree with it's constructs. when i meditate i do feel happier.
since i had been feeling unhappy at work i decided to start reading this book. it's really enlightening. helps me to see my dissatisfaction with my job as detrimental to me and to try and look at other view points. i'm not always successful, but it does help to try.
this particular quite is stuck in my head at the moment. i'm trying to keep it in mind when i muse about my job.
"But you still need a way to bring some kind of peace of mind. Here's where we need to use our capacity for critical thinking, for analysis. You begin by realizing that no situation is one hundred percent good or one hundred percent bad. SOmetimes, particularly inthe West, I've noticed a tendency to think in black or white terms. But in reality everythign thing in life is relative. So Based on this reality, you can cultivate a wider perspective of the situation and try to see different angles. You can further analyze, realizing that with better work and more money, that doesn't mean that you would have no problems. Some other jobs may have higher pay, but they come at a price, maybe longer hours or more respnsibility and maybe risk of injury or other problems. In fact. if you really look at others in higher positions, you may discover there may be moredemands, there may be more competition or jealousy from others. You might discover, for instance, that while your current work pays less, it may be easier in some ways, or even less dangerous in some instances."
once you vox, you can't stop... ok enough lameness.
