a couple of weeks ago i posted a blog about fundraising for a walk i was going to do.  yesterday was the walk.  Except for waking up at 6am, Jon and i had a great time.  We met up with our team of my coworkers at the memorial coliseum and took some pictures

A small group of us got seperated from the team in the mass of people at the start and walked a little slower. 

the ending line was pretty neat.  we walked into the coliseum through the tunnelt he usc football team runs onto the field.  we see the finish line.  they were handing out roses to the Cancer survivors and medals to everyone. 

I walked in memory of my Grandmother and my friend Carol.  I made a tribute sign with these 2 pictures on it.

It's always sad when someone cuts down a tree. I had never been so close to a freshly cut down tree, so i took some pictures.  i'll attach a few, the rest at in my flickr and picasaweb albums

now that i'm all excited about macro, i'll share some more.  many of these pictures i lucked into not really knowing what i am doing.  i keep taking pictures filling up my memory card hoping one will turn out. these i am particularly happy with.

this picture i took in new orleans at the aquarium a few weeks before katrina.  i am so very proud of this picture, i really think it is quite amazing.

a few flowers, pretty colours.  the purple one the bee i never noticed intil i got home and looked at the full res.  if i had noticed the bee, i guarantee i would have screamed.

yes, i like aquatic life too.  I'm going to Atlanta this weekend, and we are going to the aquarium there.  be prepared.

lorikeets are cool in a controlled environment.  apparently they are detrimental in some areas.
