was interesting. they packed up everything in about 4 hours. they pu tour cars on the truck, which was neat.
Before my job here in orlando went all wacky i had a different boss. she gifted me with a watch on my last day. it's really pretty. much prettier in person than in this picture. it's a white face with concentric scallop groves and blue metallic numbers. it's really quite stylish and i can't stop looking at it. i don't know that i would have picked it up myself, because i would have thought it too classy. i guess i have class, because it looks effing great on me :) It's kind of fitting she gave me a watch. i usually buy myself a new watch to celebrate a new job. When i move to orlando, my mom got wind that i was buying myself a new watch and bought me a bulova as well. great brand if you can get it. i've been extraordinarily lucky.

today was my last day of work for a while. next week i will be searching for a home. the week after i will be actually moving. i officially start February 4th.
Things i need/want eventually
- curtains for the florida room. the one side has some cute bamboo curtains. i like that but i think i want fabric backed curtains for a bit more privacy. by the door is 58 inches and the back window is about 88 inches.
- new shower corner shelf
- new shower handle. i want one of the shower heads like this
- microwave stand, preferably one with a shelf for toaster oven such as this
- rug for the hall
- rug for the computer room
- curved shower rod like this the current one is screwed in. i think a curved one would work well.
- an over the toilet shelf for the bathroom. we do not have much counter space at all
- couch for living room. sitting on cushions is going to get old.
so i find this piece of paper in my door today. time to renew my lease. when i started at this place, my rent was $740. one bedrrom with washer/dryer/all appliances, a nice big round tub, and an attached garage. i thought this a bargain. it was just me and i liked the attached garage. this was also 2 years ago. now my rent is going to be over $900 for a small one bedroom. time for boy and i to move. i just hate looking for a place to live. this also means packing up everything i own again. ugh. my apartment is upstairs. i'm not strong enough to move this stuff, so i'll have to enlist a professional. when i moved in, the company paid to move all my crap. the movers even hooked up my tv. i guess i looked cute that day or something.
to compound to hassle of looking for a place to live, anywhere we choose has to be close to a bus stop so boy can get to and from work. and since he works a crazy ass night shift, i'll have to take into consideration how late the busses run.
