now i belong to a product testing thing, and every so often i get sent a sample. today i was sent a sample of something frozen, and some dry ice. Seriously, the big orange warning to not play with the dry ice, was more of an invitation.
dry ice is noisy. it hissed and popped very loudly until it all melted. it was fun to watch it sublimate

there was a lonley purple petal on my windshield this morning. it accompanied me to work. driving through the down town intersections with the sun shining through in between. I noticed the vibrant purple and water drops as hte sun shoe. i stopped and took some pictures. i think the results are quite pretty.
ok, after looking at june's faucet, i find myself wondering how everyone else composes their frame. do you focus on the whole object and crop in an editing program, or do you see in your mind what you want to focus on and zoom on in?
it's really hard for me to not frame the whole subject. i started with photography in high school on the yearbook staff. it's really bad if you cut someone out of the frame, so i always think about framing the whole subject.
now that i'm all excited about macro, i'll share some more. many of these pictures i lucked into not really knowing what i am doing. i keep taking pictures filling up my memory card hoping one will turn out. these i am particularly happy with.
a few flowers, pretty colours. the purple one the bee i never noticed intil i got home and looked at the full res. if i had noticed the bee, i guarantee i would have screamed.
yes, i like aquatic life too. I'm going to Atlanta this weekend, and we are going to the aquarium there. be prepared.
lorikeets are cool in a controlled environment. apparently they are detrimental in some areas.
